The Cheshire Carnival At the height of Paradise Circle’s popularity, Paytah sported some wonderful tourist attractions, including a small, but incredibly active Carnival. Located at the end of the street, the place seems to have been spared the horrid fire, but that’s hardly done much to save it. Since the war, the merry-go-round has halted, the park’s single roller coaster has rusted, and most of canvas tents have begun to rot. The Hall of Reflection still stands, many of its mirrors shattered. Moss chokes the Tunnel of Love while moldy stuffed animals hang from faded prize racks and stare listlessly into the distance. Nonetheless, Cheshire Carnival stands, a skeletal reminder of a once happy Paradise gone horribly wrong.
